Sight-Unseen Drama Conference
Together with Goldsmiths University Asia Centre and Tara Arts, this pioneering event was held at the end of April 2018 and it saw the coming together of writers from Southeast Asia with British East Asian theatre practitioners with the aim of fostering greater mutual understanding and cross-cultural exchange. The collection British East Asian Plays was also launched successfully. You can buy a copy here.
The conference involved discussion, workshops and performance. It has also provided opportunities for learning, new research and scholarship in an under-researched field. Other parties who collaborated include: East 15 Theatre Conservatoire, Royal Holloway, University of London and Regent's University. You can read about the conference here.
